Stine Larsen originally wanted to be a reporting journalist, but was as a young trainee, at Jyllandsposten in 1994, captured by the photographic editorial.
After completing her degree as a photojournalist at Danmarks Journalisthøjskole (Danish School of Journalism) and San Francisco State University in 2005, she took up work at Polfoto's photo archives at Politikens Hus for 11 months and has since January 2006 been employed at Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten's photo editorial office in Copenhagen.
She was immediately acknowledged for her degree work, "Teenagetøzer", for which she made top marks and had a photography book published in Denmark and Japan, as well as having had numerous exhibitions with the project, which in an intense style depicted the world and way of life of teenage girls.
To Stine Larsen the editorial office with its colleagues and assignments is a diverse and challenging workplace - not two days are alike and it aspires to improve her own work and skills. She loves her job and are looking forward to October when she will be send out as a photography journalist on her first longer assignment where she will be travelling for 2 months crossing more or less all worlds continents.
We look forwards at PhotoMondo to present you with the photographs of this journey and hope that space will also be made for her own work.
